History-
The world first dock was built at Lothal which is located in Ahmedabad ( now near the modern state of Gujarat) around 2300 BC during Harappa civilization. A memorable attack-

Indian navy was honored with the Nau Sena Medal and Maha Vir Chakra for their courage in the operation.
