What is Beer?

What is Beer?- Beer is portable alcoholic beverage fermented from barley malt and flavored with hops. It is the oldest and most consumed alcoholic Drink In the world.

 Definition:-

          Beer is a fermented alcoholic beverage. The ingredients used in the manufacture of beer are malted barley, yeast, water, Sugar And flavored with hopes (Hopes is a flower of the mulberry or nettle family). Actually, any cereals contain Sugar or starch can be used for making beer, like maize, rice, corn or wheat. The alcohol content of beer is low. It is usually Between 3 to 8 percent (but there is several brands of beer, whichcontain 65 percent ABV also). It is known to be, particularly in summer.

Type of beer:-

Lager-

        This beer is fermented by the bottom fermentation. The German word lager means to store. this beer is stored in refrigerated vats for 6 months during the manufacturing period. They were earlier stored during maturation in the limestone caves of Pilsen, which is a small town in Czechoslovakia at German.

Ale-

       This beer produced by the top fermentation process. It has a characteristic bitter taste(slightly cloudy and happy to taste). traditionally served at room temperature. it has an alcoholic content of 3 to 6 percent. Sometimes it mixed with lager beer to make cream ale.

Porter-

           It gets its name from the porter of  London at Coventry garden who were known to the favor of this beer. This beer is a fairly dark beer with a strong flavor of malt, which is achieved by roasting malt at a high temperature.

Stout-

        This beer is similar like porter beer with the dark color as the malt is roasted.it has a strong malt flavor and sweet taste. But it has a stronger hops character than porters. In stout beer, the best variety is Irish Stout or Guinness.

Draught-

          Draught beers are also spelled draft beer. This beer cannot be stored for a long time and it has to be stored in temperatures between 36 to 42 degree F. This beer is filled in STERILIZED kegs, either full or half. Full kegs hold 31gallons(117.348 litres). These kegs are connected to taps in bars through a pipe pressurized with carbon dioxide of air.
